This is Tilus's character for Road to Bimini.

 


 

Mannerisms & Appearance

 

Tacianna gives off the appearance of an aloof, detached and calculating person - someone who does not appear to be easily approachable. While this is to a degree true, she also hides behind that exterior a spark of intrigue that wants to learn more about the hows and whys of this world. Though it is her ultimate goal to return home, anyone who knew of that goal would immediately notice that at times she might not be pursuing that goal with all of her effort when the chance to explore some interesting facet of the natural realm makes itself known.

 

Tacianna has, from the viewpoint of others, a rather strange sense of curiosity - she views the ordinary and mundane of this world as fascinating and extraordinary, and vice versa.

 

Tacianna's typical battle wardrobe accurately reflects her noble status - she wears a very beautiful and ornately decorated suit of hide armor, weaved of the hide of a creature of the Feywild; thus it glimmers a bright, silvery-blue color. Tacianna herself has long, shining golden hair that she keeps loose, and her face sports a pair of deep blue eyes.

 

She also is currently keeping a diary.

 

Character Background

 

Tacianna was born and raised in a moderate sized fey town called (need to come up with a name), that sits on the boundary between the natural realm and the Feywild. From a very early age she was expected to become a great military commander in the eladrin armies, and throughout much of her childhood she trained in the art of combat with her father, and studied tactics at the rather impressive local library.

 

She probably would have maintained this course if she studied in a purely eladrin library; however, as the library itself also carried books written by denizens of the natural realm, Tacianna became exposed to stories of the natural realm as well. During her free time, she would delve somewhat secretly into these stories; though the heroes within were quite foolish, their future viewpoints extending no further than a mere few decades, they had a particular charm to them that was never present in anything the eladrin tales had to offer.

 

Noting Tacianna's curiosity of the ways of the natural realm, one of her instructors decided it would be a rewarding experience to part from fey tactics, and as a change of pace, have her study more in depth the tactics used by beings of the natural realm. As a gate leading there had opened shortly before, she was allowed a small taste of the natural world while she travels from the Whisper Woods, the name of the forest from which she would emerge into the natural realm, to the nearby town of Fairhaven, located due south - and whose library as impressive as the one in her own hometown, to do research and learn what she can there. However, she was also sternly warned to come back within a week's time, or else the gate would close and trap her in the natural realm.

 

It was thus only fitting that upon her arrival, she would become engrossed in the material offered at this new library, and it would not take her long to lose track of time. The days passed her by rapidly, and before she knew it three weeks had passed. Realizing the mistake that she made, she immediately returned to the location of the portal.. only to find nothing but a massive expanse of forest there. She is now stuck in the mortal realm, with no way to get back.. or is she?

 

Returning back to Fairhaven, Tacianna decided that she was going to travel about the natural world, in search of another portal back to the Feywild, so that she may return home. However, as she was now stuck in a strange new land without even money for travel, she would need to pick up some performing odd jobs here and there for the locals before she could begin her search. Luck would have it that, when going to apply for her first job, she would run into a pair of travelers also looking to explore the world. The three of them then decided to band together in their travels soon afterwards, as Tacianna assisted them in their quest to explore the unexplored, all in the hopes that she would find amongst the many mysterious and unknown places a portal back home..

 

Fighting Style & Abilities

 

Tacianna's fighting style closely resembles that of a traditional eladrin soldier's fighting style, with a focus on skillful usage of her greatspear. She prefers to keep her distance from her enemy while fighting, relying on the greatspear's long reach to inflict damage while still staying out of her enemy's reach.

 

In general, Tacianna prefers to lead combat from the rear, allowing her allies to do the "heavy lifting" while she stays back to observe the entire battlefield, so she can make the most use of her tactical direction to guide allies towards the most likely path to victory. When the situation calls for it, however, she is not afraid to join the fray, and contribute to the battle's progress in a more direct fashion.
