Taret Blade
Taret Blade is a tactical game that further explore some of the mythology of the Shadowverse, and was the impetus for creating the Taret Blade Engine for RPG Maker XP.
Summary
Taret Blade is designed to operate as a solid Tactical RPG on its own, and is a direct prequel to Zero Run, as well as being a historical element of many other Shadowverse games, especially those set in New Haven or Kaguya.
Story
The story centers around the War of the Setting Sun in Kaguya, and follows two scenarios: that of Allerion, a Teyan smith, and Belegriath, a Shitsukai Spiritualist, two characters on opposite sides of the war effort, leading up to the creation of the Taret Blades, three instruments of great power that are central to the story in Zero Run.
The game begins with Dow from Zero Run explaining to his team the events that lead to the creation of the Taret Blades, which they have just recovered. Dow serves as the narrator for most of the game.
Battle System
Battles use tactical RPG mechanics as a starting point. The player controls units which are recruited out of battle, including regular units who serve no purpose to the story, and "Hero" units who take part in cutscenes and join or leave as a part of the story. It makes use of a job class system to handle character advancement, with most heroes having unique classes that only they may belong to.
Certain classes will not be available depending on whether the player is in Allerion's scenario or Belegriath's.
Graphics
Graphics will be simple 2D, with tile-based backgrounds. There's not much else to say just yet.
Sound
The music to be used is undecided at this time, but will probably be MIDIs or OGGs.
